Know which greens are dry before you reach the first one.

Your crew already probes every green with the Turf Moisture Meter Pro. Rootzone turns those readings into a morning email and a map that show where to water, flush or look closer. The only new step for the crew is sending the file.

Works with the Innoquest Turf Moisture Meter Pro and SpotView app. In pilot at a Texas course.

Illustration with made-up readings.

Thirty-four circles on one green hide the dry spot.

SpotView draws a circle for every reading. Probe a green thirty-odd times and the circles pile up. The last one covers the one before it, and you're left guessing which corner is dry. Rootzone blends the same readings into one surface, so a dry corner looks like a dry corner.

One circle per reading. The wet ones land on top.
The same readings, blended. Dry back-left, plus a mild dry patch at the front right.

Both pictures are drawn from the same invented readings.

Your crew's job doesn't change.

  1. Probe the greens

Same meter, same SpotView app, same round.

  2. Email the export

Share the file from SpotView to Mail and send it to your course's address. No login, nothing to install.

    yourcourse@in.getrootzone.com

  3. That's it

A reply lands within a minute saying what arrived and which green came up short. Send the same file twice and nothing doubles.

Then it keeps the history you never had time to keep.

Every export adds to a record for each green. Open the map on your phone in the cart, or the full view at your desk.

Trends with your own targets

Moisture, salt and soil temperature for each green over time. Your target range is shaded in, and the rain sits on the same chart, so you can see whether a dip was weather or coverage.

Green 7 soil moisture over 14 morningsMoisture drifts from 19.8% down to 13.9% by the eighth morning, falls below the 15% target, recovers after rain to 19.4%, then drifts down again to 15.9%.10%15%20%25%Your target, 15 to 22%Rain, dailyUnder target
Example: green 7 over two weeks. Dry spells show up before the turf does, and the rain that fixed it is on the same line.

Compare any two mornings

Put this morning next to last week. Look at a green before and after a flush or aeration. Set one green against another. The same spot stays in the same place, so you see change instead of noise.

A map you can scrub through time

Every green colored by how it's doing. Tap one for its heat map, then drag back through earlier mornings.

Spots that keep coming back

The same area dry 3 of the last 5 checks usually points to a sprinkler head, not the weather. Rootzone keeps a list.

Reports for the committee

Print a month or a season for any green, with the chart and the numbers, for the GM or the green committee.

Your names for spots

Reports say "under the oak" and "7, back-left", not coordinates.

Made for the files your meter already makes.

Works with the Innoquest Turf Moisture Meter Pro and SpotView app. Rootzone reads the CSV that SpotView exports: moisture, salt, soil temperature, position and time for each reading.

Exports are messy. Rootzone cleans up the usual problems and tells you what it did.

  • Duplicates. A file sent twice, or one that overlaps yesterday's, counts once.
  • Date order. SpotView writes day-first, and a trip through Google Sheets flips it. If Rootzone can't tell which, it asks you instead of guessing.
  • Probe in the air. Moisture under 8% with almost no salt reading gets flagged and kept out of the averages.
  • Frozen GPS. Three readings in a row at the exact same coordinates get flagged too.

Your readings are yours.

Your course owns its data and can take all of it, any time. Every reading, session, spot, note and target comes out as CSV, along with the original files your crew sent. We put that in writing in the terms.

We don't sell your data or share it. Read the details.

Questions a superintendent would ask.

Does my crew need a login or a new app?

No. They probe with the meter and SpotView like always, then share the export to Mail and send it to your course's Rootzone address. That's the whole change.

What do I need to start?

An Innoquest Turf Moisture Meter Pro with the SpotView app, and a phone that can email a file. Rootzone is independent and isn't made or endorsed by Innoquest.

Does it work with other meters?

Not yet. The first version reads SpotView exports from the Turf Moisture Meter Pro. Other meters come later.

Will it run my irrigation?

No. It tells you where to water, flush or look closer. You decide what to do about it.

How does it know which green a reading belongs to?

It groups readings by GPS and proposes an outline for each green. You name them and fix them once. Phone GPS drifts a few meters, so edges get a small buffer, and readings outside every green stay on the map instead of disappearing.

What about readings that look wrong?

A probe left in the air, or GPS that froze in one spot, gets flagged. Flagged readings stay in your records and are left out of the averages.

What will it cost?

We haven't set pricing. The people on the early-access list hear first.

Can I take my data and leave?

Yes, any time. You get every reading, spot, note and target as CSV, plus the original files your crew sent.

Where is it today?

It's in pilot at a Texas course. It's being built in the order you'd use it: files landing cleanly, then the map and trends, then the morning email, then printable reports.
